The Volunteer for Health (VFH) program offers individuals the opportunity
to do something extraordinary. The program is sponsored by
Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) to support patient-oriented
research at Washington University Medical Center. The overall purpose
of VFH is to match interested volunteers with current clinical trials
at the medical school through the following services:
- Informing the public about current
clinical studies at WUSM
through a variety of venues.
- Collect information from persons interested in volunteering, based
on the study’s initial inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Refer persons who meet the initial study criteria (prospective "volunteers")
to the coordinator for that study.
Persons can also choose to be contacted by VFH in the future with information
about new enrolling clinical trials. |
